What is a "Serialized" product? When am I required to enter the serial number? Will I be prompted for a serial number when I add a Serialized product to an order, quote, service, or purchase? What happens if I invoice more than one quantity of a Serialized product? Can I use the same serial number for multiple units on the same invoice?

When am I required to enter the serial number?

You will be prompted to enter a serial number only when creating an invoice for a Serialized product. This includes:
  • Creating an invoice directly
  • Converting an order, quote, repair, or purchase into an invoice
