What does it mean to suspend a subscription?

A suspended subscription will not attempt to collect payment on its scheduled dates. However, an unpaid invoice will still be generated for each scheduled date, without attempting a credit card charge.

A subscription may be suspended automatically due to a hard decline—such as a "closed account" error—when processing a scheduled payment.

You can change a suspended subscription to any other valid status, but we recommend updating the payment method first to avoid additional failed payments and processing fees.
